About Flexoraa

We build for the person who inherits the site.

Four people, one design system, and a stubborn belief that a website should still look right a year after the people who built it have moved on.

Why we started

Every site we inherited had decayed the same way.

A developer builds something careful. They leave. Six months later the pages carry four shades of blue, three heading scales and a footer nobody can edit without breaking it.

Not because anyone was careless. Because the system only existed in that developer's head, and nothing in the tooling made the right choice the easy one.

How we got here

Five years, one idea.

2021

Two people and a rescue project

A client's site had been handed between three agencies. We rebuilt it on one set of tokens and it stopped decaying.

2023

The system became the product

We had rebuilt the same architecture eleven times. We stopped rebuilding it and started shipping it.

Flexoraa 1.0

42 modules on one token layer, with inline help on every field a marketer would ever have to touch.

2026

340 portals later

Still four people. Still no account managers. Still the same answer when someone asks who maintains it.

The studio

Four people, and everyone ships.

No account managers, no handover between a sales team and a delivery team. You talk to whoever is building it.

Design lead

Sara Burns

Owns the token layer. Writes about why colour pickers should never show a hex field.

HubSpot developer

Marcus Keel

Field architecture and module refactors. Knows every upload error HubSpot does not document.

Jen Park

Writes the help text. Argues that a good field label saves a forty page handover doc.

Founder

Tomas Mielke

Started the studio after inheriting one broken site too many. Still takes client calls.

We do not want to be needed. If a client calls us six months after launch, something in the handover failed.

What we hold to

Three rules we have never broken.

01
One source for every value

If a colour exists in two places it will drift. Tokens resolve from theme settings and nowhere else.

02
If it needs explaining, explain it

Every non-obvious field carries inline help. The person editing it next year will not have met us.

03
Finish, then leave

No retainers by default. We train the team, hand over the documentation and stop invoicing.

Want the system without the studio?

Flexoraa is the theme we build on, and you can have it today.
